Original Gimp Adaptive Snowboarding

Facilitation of the Shred Since 2000

Consulting – Coaching – Clinics

Snowboarding. What is it that makes the snowboard experience? Snowboarding is exploration, discovery, and a sense of freedom. For some, it is the joy of the first frontside turn, and for others, it is stomping the first backside spin. It is a day of shredding a foot of new snow and belly laughs with your friends. For others, it is focused progression and competitive mindset. Whatever your interest, Original Gimp Adaptive Snowboarding can facilitate this experience for your organization, or for an individual. Safety, fun, and progress is my specialty.

The following Facilitation Packages are designed to accent existing programs within your organization and for hosting large groups of clientèle. I also am available for personalized adaptive snowboard event hosting and coaching.

Group Facilitation – Full Staff:

This facilitation package is designed to accommodate the adaptive snowboard experience for groups between 10 and 20 riders. I am able to staff accordingly for a variety of goals, skill levels, and interests; from beginner/learn-to-ride through intermediate/advanced riders. The facilitation/coaching staff has a solid knowledge of both disability and freeride/freestyle snowboarding. In addition to recreation, there is a therapeutic component to this service upon request. To top off the package, a professional sports photographer will provide action and lifestyle shots for athletic promotion.

Group Facilitation – Gun for Hire:

If you are looking for personalized service for an individual, a small group, segment of a larger group (5 to 1 ratio), then I am your man. I specialize in learn-to-ride, freestyle, freeride, and Visual Impairment (VI) guiding.

Snowboard Staff Training:

The method based philosophy behind my clinician style is used to fundamentally reshape and enhance how your staff approaches adaptive snowboarding. A greater conceptual/technical understanding of snowboarding will improve upon the staffs’ own riding and help them in the assessment of their students. The focus areas of these clinics is disability and the integration of performance concepts, fundamental movements, movement analysis, learn-to-ride teaching progression, entry level freestyle, and VI snowboard instruction. Please ask about the 2 or 3 day options for training sessions

VI Guide Service and Private Coaching:

This service is designed for the rider with a visual impairment who is seeking to take their shred to the next level. The training I offer is focused on riding fundamentals, all mountain riding, and park/pipe shredding. Rippin the pipe, boardsliding the boxes, and carving big pow turns; yeah, we can do that! VI snowboarding on a new level. I am available for guiding clients on a winter vacation,  weekly,  and full season training; please call for details.

Please contact me for details on facilitation package and service rates. Winter is coming soon; don’t wait to book. Snowboard Staff Training Clinic dates will fill quickly for early and mid-season spots. Reserve yours today!
